Qtrade Account Type

QTrade offers different account types to suit different traders so that they can customise their trading experience to their requirements.

Qtrade Gold Accounts

Qtrade gold accounts are an alternative to the purchase of physical gold. The investor benefits by holding gold without the need to physically store it and from attractive exchange rates which are offered by Qtrade when an XAU account is funded or withdrawn from.

Funding / withdrawing from a gold account can be done in one of the following currencies: EURUSD, CHF, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, CZK, DKK, HKD, HUF, ILS, JPY, MXN, NOK, NZD, PLN, RON, RUB, CNH, SEK, SGD, TRY and ZAR. The related exchanges are done at very competitive rates. XAU accounts are subject to custody fees.

Physical gold cannot be withdrawn from the gold account; instead, the holder will receive its equivalent in any currency listed above. The possibility to transfer non-deliverable XAU or to convert holdings into physical gold is subject to negotiations.

To open a gold account, clients simply have to contact their account manager. New clients need to select XAU as account currency on Step 4 of the online account application.
